As Koch Foods continues to expand into one of the largest and most successful companies within the chicken business, they needed to develop a central plant for their “Ready-to-Cook” food processing and distribution center in the South. Koch chose United Insulated Structures for development and construction of this plant, due to their long standing history of successful projects.
When Koch went to develop the land to the East of the plant for Phase III, it was determined that the soil conditions were not suitable for building upon. We proposed the idea of using the land directly to the north of the site for suitable fill, which ended up saving significant time in the schedule, as well as future trucking costs in the event the next phase could not be constructed on the east side of the facility.
