United States Cold Storage

Project Description

Provided all Design, Engineering and Construction work for a 750,000 S.F. Freezer Distribution Warehouse.  This project was developed in six separate phases.

When United States Cold Storage decided to build their first Freezer Distribution Warehouse in Illinois they selected UISC as their Design+Build General Contractor.  This Facility includes six separate phases over a 24 year span.  The completion of the sixth and final phase was an 180,000 S.F. (100’ Tall) Fully Automated ASRS Freezer expansion.

The completion of the 6th and final phase made this one of United States Cold Storage’s largest facilities in the nation.  In addition, UISC has now successfully delivered it’s second Fully Automated Freezer Warehouse to them ahead of schedule and under budget, resulting in substantial savings to the Owner.
