UISC worked with West Liberty Foods LLC to create a state of the art food processing and freezer/distribution facility. The facility contains “Quick Freeze” racks for blast freezing most food products within a 36 hour period. The facility also houses an HPP (High Pressure Pasteurization) Process room which contains a piece of equipment for eliminating the bacteria on processed deli meats and greatly increases the shelf life of the product.
I would like to take this opportunity to commend your firm on your overall professionalism and outstanding performance on the building and utilities scope of work under the Elwood project. You were able to manage a significant scope of work under a very tight timeline.
Throughout the project, several scope changes were made and developed and your firm was able to react swiftly and without issue. The knowledge and experience was a key factor in your firm's ability to change course on demand with no impact to the overall construction schedule.
It has truly been a pleasure working with you and your team. Your firm was able to complete your scope of work ahead of schedule and under budget, and on behalf of the Kraft project team, I thank you.
In 2014, I was introduced to United Insulated Structures as a potential builder for a Greenfield cold storage in Bolingbrook, Illinois. After two phases and 295,000 square feet of cold storage and processing, it was clear that selecting UISC was probably one of my better decisions in my career.
At UISC, it was clear that they had built sound relationships with their vendors. Their commitment to their partners, passion for timeliness, mindfulness of budget adherence and delivering a quality facility resulted in the most successful construction engagement I have had in my career.
As our latest collaboration on Michigan Avenue comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to spotlight the excellence United Insulated Structures Corporation has provided for 3L Real Estate over the past several years.
UISC has consistently gone above and beyond our expectations on several of our developments to ensure the project was completed with the utmost quality and professionalism. Our mantra is “on-time and on-budget”, and each project that UISC has completed not only met, but far exceeded our standards.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you and your team on an extraordinary job well done. Almost immediately the synergies of our core team and your team were evident. We confidently recommend you and your team to any Company.
I will continue to recommend United Insulated Structures Corporation (UISC) as a premier design-build firm of choice for United States Cold Storage (USCS) and the refrigerated warehousing industry.
The United Insulated team were first class professionals taking the time to communicate with our team and make sure the project was completed as expected. If the project was being evaluated by others I know they would give the project high marks and deem it a success.
I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the outstanding service and personal relationship that I, as General Manager at Koch Foods Morton DC, have had with UISC going back to 2003. This relationship covers 4 major expansions in addition to updating the blast freezers and a major parking lot addition. I think the number of successful projects from 2003-2016 speaks volumes to the quality and professionalism exhibited by the entire UISC organization. The onsite superintendents were extremely capable and kept me updated on project schedules to ensure minimum impact on DC operations.
Prairie Farms Dairy has enjoyed a long relationship with United Insulated Structures Corporation beginning with our first freezer project in 1999. Since that time, we have completed projects from minor cooler and freezer repairs to large cooler and freezer additions to an entire plant renovation spanning 6 phases over 5 years. All of the work has been completed in a timely manner with professionalism and attentiveness to our specific needs. UISC has become a valued partner in our business operations.
I would like to thank you and your team for the outstanding results on our refrigerated building located in Chicago, IL. The level of service that you provided was far beyond our expectations. Building a distribution facility is not something I do every day. That being said, I appreciate your patience in walking me though the planning and construction process. I learned a great deal from this experience. You were very knowledgeable in all aspects of our project and were able to remain closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish and I sincerely appreciate your dedication.
It is indeed with great pleasure and gratitude that I write this letter commending you and your staff for your superior work and efforts with the design and construction of our new U.S. Cold Storage facility in Wilmington, IL.
From the ground up, the team at United Insulated Structures displayed both a personal and professional interest in the successful outcome of this state-of-the-art facility. We’ve received numerous well-deserved compliments on the appearance and performance of this warehouse.
Much too often exceptional work goes unrecognized, so at this time I would like to thank your organization on behalf of the Walgreen Co. in the professional manner in which it conducted itself during the construction of our drug store.
Walgreen Co. would welcome the opportunity to work with United Insulated Structures in the future.
The project took on clarity as United Insulated helped us complete the value engineering process. You should be very proud of your staff, they are professionals and have a “pride of ownership” in their work. During our construction process your staff was always friendly and courteous to our staff and customers.
On behalf of Kraft Foods I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your extraordinary work concerning Kraft Foods, Romeoville, Illinois Buffer Warehouse.
The long hours and weekend work performed by you, UISC and the subcontractors did not go unnoticed. This effort was discussed with admiration and praise amongst the Kraft Foods Distribution Organization. This contribution has set a standard of what can be achieved and served as the initial steps toward the successful integration of Nabisco Foods into the Kraft Foods network.
I want to thank you and your team at United for the great job you did in building Affiliated’s 284,000 square foot cooler freezer in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The facility was completed on time, within budget, and according to many construction professionals on the job site in record time for a project of this scope. Just 7 months.
Affiliated was looking to partner with a company with intelligence and expertise, integrity and a passion for the business they were in to deliver an efficient well-constructed finished product. During the selection process the attributes that Affiliated was looking for came through very clearly in discussions with United’s personnel. United’s professionalism and their plain-speaking candor in describing United’s approach to these types of projects promoted a relationship of trust and respect from the beginning.
