Project Description

In order to expand and consolidate their growing businesses under one roof, Kronos Products, Inc. combined four separate local facilities in Chicago, IL into one facility on newly acquired property in Glendale Heights, IL.  This phased move required UISC to provide a 12 month schedule that allowed for the relocation of their Cold and Dry Storage distribution operations within 3 months of the Project Start date, and the relocation of four separate Food Processing Production Lines by the project deadline.  These Processing Lines included the following:

  • Hand Made Bakery
  • Die Cut Bakery
  • Gyros Cone Production
  • Gyro Loaf Production (Frozen and Ready to Eat)

 The existing facility was remodeled to accommodate the following:

  • 25,600 S.F. of Office Space on Two Floors
  • 26,500 S.F. of Support/Mechanical Rooms
  • 67,700 S.F. of Refrigerated Warehouse
  • 25,700 S.F. of  Dry Warehouse
  • 56,400 S.F. of Food Process Area

The project was awarded the 2009 NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association Broker Transaction of the Year – Industrial.
