Project Description

This project was the prototype for Buffer Warehouse Additions planned by Kraft Foods Co.’s Engineering Department for their food plants throughout the country.

The building was turned over to the owner within five months after ground breaking – one month earlier than the date stipulated in the contract.

Scope of work

  • 74,000 sq. ft. +36°F Cooler with 32’-0” clear height and a storage rack system for 6,500 pallet positions
  • 9,000 sq. ft. +36°F Loading Dock with overhead pallet storage and ten automatic dock levelers with truck restraints
  • 5,000 sq. ft. Maintenance/Battery Charging Area
  • 3,000 sq. ft. two story Office Building including Employee Welfare Area
