United Insulated Structures (UISC) is a Design+Build General Contracting Company specializing in cold storage and food processing facilities. We are currently seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering and Construction Management Students to join our team of Project Managers and Superintendents as Intern Assistants for Summer 2019.
Assistant Field Superintendent:
- Coordinate with subcontractors at the job site; Ensure that subcontractors understand and adhere to the job schedule and client goals.
- Adhere to safety regulations and OSHA standards; Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of Quality Control and Safety implementation plan.
- Keeping paperwork updated at all times such as daily logs, pictures, tracking deliveries, project documents, etc.
- Travel Required.
Qualifications: Essential Job Requirements:
- Junior or Senior status working towards Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Valid Interest in pursuing a career in Construction/Project Management Required.
- General Knowledge of construction principles/processes.
- Geographic Flexibility and willingness to be assigned to a jobsite within a multi-state region.
- Proficient writing and computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong Work Ethic and commitment to learning, staff development; ability to give/receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to Read all Drawings; Shop, As-Built, Sketches, etc..
Preferred Skills:
- Previous “Hands on” construction experience.
- Experience with Project Management Software.
- Proficient writing and computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
